Ten biggest fitness mistakes

How to avoid the big ten mistakes with your fitness plan are as follows:
1. Define your goals - many people start a fitness plan with the goal to be fit. This goal is not specific enough to allow for defined success. Write down exactly what you want to achieve with your fitness regimen. You may want big muscles, or just to loose 15 pounds, some individuals just want to feel better. The point is without clearly defined goals you will not know how to focus your time and attention with regard to your fitness level.
2. Have a strategy to complete your goals - whatever your particular goal is, specific workouts are needed that will help you achieve those goals. It is a good idea to start with a book where the author shares your same goals. Reading a book written by a trainer who primarily uses weight training may not be appropriate for the person who wants to improve their heart health.
3. Doing the same workouts over and over - if your passion is running, do not rule out the once per week swim. A lot of people only use workouts that they are comfortable with. Unfortunately your body may get so used to a particular workout and its benefits may diminish over time. Using various workouts will use other muscles your body hasn't used in a while. You need to stretch yourself for better health.
4. Do not over do it - have a workout plan that you can achieve. It has to be tough enough to make you sweat, but not so though that you cannot come back if a day for more.
5. Don't forget nutrition - the body needs energy to get through workouts. If you restrict your diet too much you will not have the energy to complete your workouts. Upgrade your diet to include more healthy choices. Only nutritious food will get you through your workouts.
6. Picture your perfect body - take a picture of yourself and reshape your body the way you want it to look. Draw in those biceps and visualize what you will look like when you have implemented your workout goals.
7. Do not make it just about the workouts - fitness should be about the approach you take in life to become more healthy. Many people sabotage their fitness plans with continuing unhealthy trends such as excessive drinking.
8. Add rest days into your fitness routines - your body was made for work, there is no doubt about that, but too many people will not take days off for proper rest. You also need to get a good nights sleep for your body to repair itself from your workouts.
9. Find a fitness buddy - we all do better when we have friendly challenges in life. A fitness partner or fitness group can lend the support you may need to get through your days workouts.
10. Forgive your sins - It is not good to beat yourself up when you have a poor workout or overindulge with food. It happened, you need to get over it and move on. We all slip but it is important to keep moving forward with a good attitude.
If you follow the these guidelines you will be prone to get better results with less mistakes with regards to your health and fitness lifestyle.
